My name is Nora Mamblona Fischer, and I am a psychologist (MSc Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health, King’s College London) with many years of experience in preparation, integration, guidance, and screening of Ayahuasca retreats (Peruvian Amazon) and psilocybin truffle retreats (Netherlands).
My current dissertation research (East-West Psychology, California Institute of Integral Studies – CIIS) explores the therapeutic potential of Amanita muscaria, the fly agaric mushroom.
Psychedelic Therapy
Psychedelic support touches spaces where ancient Indigenous healing knowledge, modern psychotherapeutic approaches, and personal experience flow together. What moves me most is the question of how we humans today – mindful, grounded, and deeply connected – can integrate challenging experiences into our lives and grow from them to live our potential.
In ritual contexts with plant medicine, such as those kept alive among the Shipibo in the Amazon, the Huichol with Peyote, or the Mazatec with psilocybin mushrooms, I encounter a wisdom that has not forgotten that healing is relationship – to oneself, to nature, to something greater.
My therapeutic work is rooted in more than twenty years of experience in trauma-informed support, integrative transformational work, and contemplative practice. I guide people in legal settings – e.g., with psilocybin-containing truffles in the Netherlands or in the preparation and integration of traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies – on their path to self-discovery, inner clarity, and deep integration.
What matters most to me is a safe, clearly held space in which trust, presence, and a dignified engagement with inner processes can grow. I work resource-oriented, present, with an open heart – and in mindful relationship to what each soul brings in its uniqueness.
My stance and methodology are shaped by contemporary therapeutic approaches such as Psychology of Vision (Chuck Spezzano), Compassionate Inquiry (Gabor Maté), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (Richard Schwartz).
For me, integration is not a technique but an inner process of perceiving, accepting, and often also letting go. I hold space where what was touched can take form, what was remembered can return to life – and the new that wants to emerge can gently take root.
Retreats
I facilitate legal psilocybin truffle retreats in the Netherlands in collaboration with experienced colleagues and retreat centers.
Research
My dissertation at CIIS investigates the therapeutic potential of Amanita muscaria (fly agaric) using an integral, mixed-methods design. I explore its effects in the context of self-dosing, psychospiritual support, and integrative practice.
Congress
Together with Joshua Kretzer, I am co-initiator of the Amanita Online Congress 2025. The congress will take place from October 24 to November 2, 2025, and brings together science, practice, and ancestral wisdom surrounding Amanita muscaria in an interdisciplinary exchange.
